Mrs. Novella Dunum, 88, of Hamburg, AR died Friday, February 14, 2020 at Ashley County Medical Center.  She was a native of Dumas, but a resident of Hamburg most of her life, a homemaker, a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and a member of Order Eastern Star Golden Star Chapter 380 Fountain Hill, AR.

She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angela Madison; mother, Mamie Lee Dupree; and father, Eddie Dunum.  Novella loved people, she was a talker.  She enjoyed watching her T.V. shows.  She loved her family and her church family.  She enjoyed cooking and would help anyone she seen in need.  Novella was just a lovable person who will be greatly missed in her church and in the community.

She is survived by one daughter, Judy Smith, husband Lafayette,  of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one brother, Jerry Don Baker, wife Gustava, of Bastrop, LA; one sister, Valco Dupree-Peters, husband Billy, of Chesapeake, VA, one grandson, Patrick Foreman, six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 22, 2020, 11 a.m., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 404 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street Hamburg, with Rev. Willie R. Taylor officiating.  Active Pallbearers are Alfred Robinson, John Ware, Ephraim Johnson, Daniel Shelton, Jimmy Clark, Chester Owens, E.G. Morgan, and Cornelius Girtman.  Honorary Pallbearers are the deacons and trustees of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery.

Viewing will be Friday, February 21, 2020, 1-5:00 p.m., at Cromwell Funeral Home and Saturday from 10-11:00 a.m., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
