Willie Mae Woods' Obituary
Mrs. Willie Mae Woods, 87, of Hamburg, AR, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett, AR. She was a native of Portland, AR, a homemaker and member of Union Baptist Church in Parkdale.
Mrs. Woods is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Carrie Todd Thornton and her husband of 62 years, Nathan Woods; Two daughters, Mabel Lee Woods Townsend and Ethel Mae Woods; Two sisters, Mary Johnson and Sammie Mays.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Charles Woods and wife Colette of Indianapolis, IN, Barney Woods and wife Pamela of Hamburg and Joe Nathon Woods; Four daughters, Betty Birdsong, Carrie White and husband Jessie and Rosa Evans all of Indianapolis, IN and Dorothy Robinson of Hamburg; Twenty grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Services are Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Bishop Danny Mays officiating. Interment will be at The Wood Family Cemetery in Hamburg, AR. Visitation will be Friday, February 18th from 6:00-8:00pm at Cromwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Renol Birdsong, Eddie Mays, Phillip Mays, Jason White, Monte Brown and Marcus Mays.
