Willie Earl Wilson, 85 of Fountain Hill, AR, transitioned Sunday, September 1, 2024 at his home with his family by his bedside. He was a native of Lacey, AR, but a resident of Fountain Hill for 62 years. He worked in the timber industry as a chainsaw operator.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 1/2 years, Elsie Marsiel Wilson, parents, Will and Ruthie Franklin Wilson, five brothers, William, Adolphus, Ordolph, Rev. Royce Dale Wilson, and Erston Wilson, two sisters, Lillian Wilson Riley and Louvinia Wilson-Simpson. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and auto mechanic work.

He is survived by one son, Reggie and wife Marilyn Wilson of Hamburg, AR, three daughters Shirley Duckworth and Beverly and husband Roy Simpson all of Fountain Hill, AR, and Rev. Shalane and husband Sammie Jenkins of Hamburg, AR, one brother, Charles and wife Mildred Wilson of Fountain Hill, AR, eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and several other relatives.

Visitation is Friday, September 6, 2024 at Cromwell Funeral Home 6:00-7:00.  Funeral service is Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Bethel A.M.E. Church at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Harriel D. White III, Presiding Elder of Crossett District, officiating, and Rev. Graylin Wilson eulogy. Pallbearers are Daryle Daniels, Sr., Clarence Daniels, Robert Wilson, Douglas Withers, Gregory David, and Ephriam Franklin. Honorary Pallbearers are Dexter Jenkins, Angello Simpson, Sr., Reggie Wilson, Jr., Kylen Milton, Torien Hanson, and DeWayne Smith. Burial will follow in Lacey Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
