Willie Marzell Swinney, 79 of Lake Village, AR transitioned on May 15, 2025, in Greenville, MS at Delta Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Swinney was born in Hamburg, AR and later moved to Cedar Rapids, IA where she flourished in her work and in her community. She later relocated to Lake Village where she remained a resident until she took her Heavenly rest. Mrs. Swinney was a faithful member of the Bethel AME Church where she served on the Mother's Board and the Usher's Board until her health rendered her unable to do so. While living in Cedar Rapids, IA, she worked as a dietician for the elderly in nursing facilities.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donty F. Swinney, her parents Henry and Verdell Calloway Tucker; her brother's Elder Charles Tucker and Alf Freddie Tucker (03-25-2025); a sister Lavern Guy; nephews, Antonio Tucker and Marvin "Chick" Walters. Willie enjoyed working crossword puzzles, painting, and spending quality time with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memories; one brother Theotis Tucker and wife Claudette of Lake Village, AR; two sisters, Clay Jean Paskel Muskegon Heights, MI, and Helen M. Lassiter of Pine Bluff, AR; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral Service is Friday May 23, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Matthew Beasley Officiating. Pallbearers are Ira Tucker, Anthony Tucker, Alf Freddie Tucker II, Kentu Lassiter, Dominique Eades, and Matthew Beasley. Honorary Pallbearers are Ralph Walter, Myron Tucker, Edward Morgan, Jr., Sherrod Paskel, and Kennith Williams. Flower Bearers: Nieces and Great Nieces. Burial is in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
