Obituary

Mr. William Jefferson "Manboy" Rogers, 67 of Crossett, AR, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a former employee of Georgia Pacific Paper Mill for over 43 years, and a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Tyrone Rogers, one daughter, Shelia Diane Gary, and his parents: Wilton "Big Will" Rogers & Ophelia Bluford Rogers Sewell.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Mrs. Delores Smith Rogers, seven daughters: Sandra (Les) Tolefree of Crossett, AR, Terresia (Martin) Debow, Tareyton (Timothy) Fleming & Elizabeth (Michael) Debow all of Terre Haute, IN, Carol Rogers of Bastrop, LA & Carmillia (Joseph) Bivens & Evelyn Rogers of Monticello, AR, two sisters, Brenda Jones & Verna Duke of Crossett, AR, twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Friday, July 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Radford, Jr., officiating. Visitation Thursday, July 23 from 6 - 7:30 at New Bethel Baptist Church. Pallbearers are Raymond Blair, James Webb, Harvey Duke, Joseph Chapman, William Willis & Robert Baldwin. Burial in Westview Cemetery.
