Mr. William Richard Jr., 85 of Crossett, AR died Monday, August 8, 2011 at his home in Crossett, AR. He was a resident of Crossett for the past 39 years, and was a native of Farmerville, LA. He was a retired Janitor of Modern Cleaning Service, and a member of Sweet Lilly Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy who served during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Richard, one son, Jimmy Richard, one step son, Colvin Carvin Jr., two step-daughters, Rachel Bailey, and Annie Louise Griffin.
He is survived by one son, Henry Richard of Crossett, AR, two daughters, Martha Ridgell of Crossett, AR, and Ruby Lee of Houston, TX, two step-sons, William Capers of Farmerville, LA, and Mack Kesee, wife Florence of Eldorado, AR, two step-daughters, Gracie Neil of Pine Bluff, AR, and Betty Moore of Farmerville, LA, fifty nine grandchildren, forty five great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Davis Memorial Church with Elder Roy E. Matheney Jr. officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2011 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Mick Kesee, Richard Kesee, Jimmy Heard, Edward Young, Winston Hendrix, and Kavian Phillips. Burial in St. John Cemetery in Farmerville, LA under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
