William Reid Hargroves, age 64, of Maumelle, AR., died Monday May 15, 2023, at his home in Maumelle. He was a native of Crossett, AR., and a former resident of Los Angeles, CA. He was a graduate of Crossett High School Class of 1976 and worked as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Mr. Hargroves was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved to watch baseball, football, and basketball.

William was preceded in death by his parents Willie "Catfish"(1996) and Elatrice Federson-Hargroves (2009), and a brother Dennis O'Neal Hargroves (2006).

He is survived by his wife of 27 years Arleathia Hargroves of Maumelle, AR., three sons Jonah Hargroves wife Makeda of Conway, AR., Jonathan Dean wife Dianna, Jeremiah Dean wife Flora, both of Los Angeles, CA.,  two daughters Alexandria Hargroves and J'naya Dean both of Los Angeles, CA., and a sister Dr. Janice Warren of Maumelle, AR., five grandchildren Legend Dean, Logan Dean, Lael Dean, and Onyx Dean, of Los Angeles, CA., and Lola Hargroves of Conway, AR., a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be Graveside at Westview Cemetery Saturday May 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM with Bro. Jesse Radford, Jr. officiating. Pallbearers are Curtis Boston, Jr., Edward Charles Brown, Alfred Davis, Jonah Hargroves, Lexie Lewis, and Ricky Lewis. Honorary Pallbearers Crossett High School Class of 1976. Burial Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
