William Lamont Dumas, 49 of Crossett, AR died Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Cornerstone Specialty Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was a native of Bastrop, LA, and a resident of Crossett for many years. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a disabled former employee of Ideal True Value Hardware. 

His parents, William and Betty Mays, preceded him in death. William enjoyed traveling, drawing, watching and playing basketball. His favorite NFL team was the Dallas Cowboys, he loved helping others, and listening to music.

He is survived by three brothers: Matthew Dumas of Tecumseh, OK, John Dumas of Millington, TN, and Andrew Mays of Crossett, AR; three sisters: Amelia Prescott (Wayne) of Millington, TN, Jamie Mays-Russell (Charles) of Cordova, TN, and Maggie Evans (Marquis) of Las Vegas, NV, a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. Graveside Service will be Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM in Westview Cemetery with Bro. Kevin Simpson officiating.
