June 28, 1941 – April 17, 2026
William Andrew Brisby, 84 of Fountain Hill, AR, transitioned Friday, April 17, 2026 at Nightingale at Stonegate in Crossett, AR. He was a native of Pine Bluff, AR, a retired automobile mechanic and of the Baptist faith. He was a disabled U. S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam Conflict, and a lifetime member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Darlene Brisby, and his parents, R.D. Brisby and Ollie Louise Ashcraft and her husband Albert Richard Ashcraft.
He enjoyed eating sweets , especially peanut butter cookies, ice cream with chocolate syrup and homemade white chocolate fudge with cherries. He loved spending time with his family and often teased and joked with them. He was truly a great dad to his children.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy A. Brisby, four sons, William Andrew Brisby, Jr. of Denton, TX, Jason Richard 'Amy' Brisby of Crossett, AR, Christopher Michael Brisby and Nathaniel Lucas Brisby both of Fountain Hill, AR, four daughters, Tasha Virginia Brisby and Phillip Skyles of Sherwood, AR, Debra Sue Brisby of Copperas Cove, TX, Sara Elizabeth Brisby and Raheel Masih of Ft. Worth, TX, and Jewel Ann Brisby of Fountain Hill, AR, one brother Bubba 'Judy' Ashcraft, one sister Lillianne Norris of Tucson, AZ; and grandchildren: Madison Brisby, Cameron Brisby, Andrea Brisby, Kalai Brisby, Seth Skyles, Andrew Skyles, and Amanda Hadley. Also special friends: Brandon and Loretta Powell, Shelby Fryday, special RN Briana, and his favorite nurse, Renea.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Andy Conner and Chris Pryor officiating. Services arranged by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, Arkansas.
