Mrs. Virdell Jenkins, 84 of Hamburg, AR, died Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Monticello Health Care. Mrs. Jenkins was a lifelong resident of Hamburg, a retired custodian for Hamburg Public Schools, a member of Eastern Star Golden Star Chapter 300, and a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two sons, John Anthony Paskel & Willie Clarence Paskel, Jr., one daughter, Willie Mae Paskel, her parents, Mack & May Bell King Jenkins, three brothers, Birman, Jessie & Willie Charles Jenkins and one sister, Mae Ella Barnett.
She is survived by one son, Willie Lee Paskel of Muskegon, MI, one granddaughter she raised, Janice Poole of Hamburg, AR, seven brothers: Eld. Letell Jenkins of Monticello, AR, Dorchester Jenkins of Gary, IN, Willie Lee Jenkins, wife Mary of Indianapolis, IN, Mack Jenkins, wife Louella, Samuel Jenkins, wife Jesse Mae, Searcy Jenkins & Bishop Marvin Jenkins, wife Jesse all of Hamburg, AR, seventeen grandchildren and forty-two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are Friday, May 23, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Willie R. Taylor, officiating. Visitation Thursday, May 22 from 6-7 PM at Cromwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Ricky Tippitt, Roderick Scott, Willie Ashford, Robert Robinson, Samuel Jenkins, Jr. & Calvin Barnett. Honorary pallbearers were Josh Tolliver, Sherrod Paskel, John Paskel, Jr. & Willie Paskel. Burial in Carlock Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home.
