Mrs. Viola Bass, 85 of Wilmot, AR, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 in Wilmot. She was a lifelong resident of Wilmot, a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lindsey "Jack" Bass, two sons: John William Bass and William Lindsey Bass, Jr.; three daughters: Annie Pearl Clark, Helen Marie Brown and Emma Jean Bass; her parents: Jimmy and Sarah Johnson McAdoo; step-mother: Emma McAdoo; four brothers: Jimmy D., Rev. George, Clarence, and L. McAdoo.
She is survived by three sons: Jimmy Bass and wife Ruth of Kilbourne, LA, Albert "A.B." Bass and wife Brenda of Wilmot, AR and Lamar Bass and wife Sandra of Little Rock, AR; one daughter: Mary Brooks, and husband Lacey of Wilmot, AR; two brothers, Jimmy Lee McAdoo and wife Earlene of Kansas City, MO and Billy Ray McAdoo and wife Dorothy of Smackover, AR; one sister: Lula Scurvy of Kansas City, MO; thirty-seven grandchildren and fifty-seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church in Wilmot with Rev. James Crockett officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bass, Jr., Calvin Bass, William Lewis, Steven Brooks, Darren McAdoo and Brandon Brown. Burial will be in St. Martha Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
