Mrs. Victoria Washington, age 87 of Crossett, passed away Thursday June 8, 2017 at Ashley County Medical Center. Mrs. Washington was a native of New Orleans, La and resident of Crossett for the past 10 years. She was a homemaker and an active member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Washington was preceded in death by her husband, Booker Washington; parents Nelson and Sally Jones-Howard and 3 brothers.

Mrs. Victoria loved attending church and shared the gospel with everyone she met. There was no doubt that her faith was in Jesus. She was a very kind and loving lady who enjoyed socializing. She enjoyed her crossword puzzles and loved to read.

Mrs. Washington is survived by her cousin Emma Cornelius (Robert) of Crossett and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday June 16 at 11:00 am at New Bethel Baptist church with Pastor Jesse Radford officiating. Pallbearers will be Charles Moore, James Phifer, Freddie Hargraves, Lee Simpson, Jimmy Thornton, and Jerome Chatman. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5:30-6:30 pm Thursday June 15, 2017 at Cromwell Funeral Home in Hamburg.
