Mrs. Verdell Radford, 87 of Crossett, AR (White Station Community), died Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Lifetouch Hospice House in ElDorado, AR. She was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a retiree of the Old Crossett Health Center, and a member of Fudge Baptist Church in the White Station Community. Verdell loved the Lord and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Rev. Jesse L. Radford, Sr. who died March 22, 2009, one son, William Wayne Radford, one daughter, Carol Sue Brown, her parents Green Williams and Mary Etta Cason-Williams, two brothers, Earl Williams, and Lacy Washington, two sisters, Ozell Simpson, and Vevia Bailey.
She is survived by one son, Jesse L. Radford, Jr., wife Lorraine, one daughter, Mary Jean Martin, one brother, Austin Williams, wife Ella, one sister, Cora Lee Jones, all of Crossett, AR, one daughter-in-law Lora Jean Radford of West Helena, AR, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services are Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at New Bethel Baptist Church in Crossett with Rev. Quinton Radford, Rev. Jesse Radford III, Rev. Brady Radford, and Rev. William Radford officiating. Visitation is Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Rev. Quinton, Jesse, Brady, William Radford, Mike Brown, Brunton Brown, and Montrale Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Albert James, Lee Radford, and the Deacons and Trustees of the Fudge Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Fudge Baptist Church Building Fund, 503 Ashley 201 W., Crossett, AR 71635. Burial in Ryles Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
