August 24, 1926 – April 5, 2018
Miss Veola "Little Girl" Miller, age 91, of Crossett died Thursday, April 5, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was a life long resident of of Crossett. Retiree of Georgia Pacific Tissue Mill after 25 years of service. She is a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by a son, James Carl Miller, her parents, Mitchell and Claudia Simpson-Federson, three sisters Jamie B. Martin, Olavee Barnes, and Elatrice Hargroves, and two brothers Mitchell Jr. and Cardell Federson.
Miss Little Girl was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed going to church as long as her health permitted, and loved cooking.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon McCall husband Ronald of Birmingham, Alabama; a special niece and caregiver, Dr. Janice Warren of Little Rock, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Brent McCall, Ebony Grayham, Salynthia Mason, and Chantel Bosworth; and eight great-grandchildren. Survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Services are Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 1:00PM at New Bethel Baptist Church in Crossett with Pastor Jessie Radford, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers are Cornell Brown, Milton Gaston, Charles Moore, Billy Reynolds, Larry Rogers, and Larry Dawson. Viewing will be from 1:00pm to 5:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
