Mrs. Tressie Lee Cromwell, 75 of Maumelle, AR, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born in Wilmot, AR, raised in Crossett, AR, a resident of Maumelle for the past two years, and a former ten year resident of San Bernadino, CA. She was a retiree of Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill.
She was preceded in death by her husband Monroe James "M.J." Cromwell, two sons, Marcus & Lavoris Johnson, one daughter, Kathryn Hubbard, her father, Warren Henderson, her mother, Annie Mae Davis, and one sister, and Jannie Tate Jamerson.
She is survived by two sons, Tony L. Johnson of Jacksonville, AR, Marvin Johnson, wife Donna of Redfield, AR, three daughters: Ruby J. Henderson, Elizabeth Lynn Smith & Sheila Cromwell all of San Bernadino, CA, five brothers: Oscar Tate, wife Betty of Bastrop, LA, Aubrey Tate, wife Redenna, James Tate & Charles Ray Tate all of Crossett, AR, John Tate of Jacksonville, AR, twenty-two grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, eighteen great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Funeral services are Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Horace Ingram and Rev. Jesse Radford, officiating. Pallbearers are Albert Tucker, Patrick Patton, Robert Williams, Michael Fuller, Shamelus Jamerson & Linwood Johnson. Burial in Nimmons Cemetery.
Visitation Friday, March 6, 2015 from 6-8 pm in the chapel of Cromwell Funeral Home.
