Mr. Thomas Wallace, age 79, of Hamburg, AR passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at South East Arkansas Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Hamburg, a retired employee of GP Chemical Plant, and a member of Soldiers Chapel A.M.E. Church.

He is preceded in death by one son, Thomas Wallace Jr; parents, Lewis and Minnie Shaw-Wallace; two sisters, Otha Mae Benson and Lillian "Patsy" Alexander; and his twin brother, Allen Wallace on July 2011. Thomas was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and always enjoyed being around his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Charlene Swinney-Wallace; two sons, Lewis Allen Wallace (Sheila) of Crossett, AR; Benjamin Wallace (Amber) of Hot Springs, AR; two daughters, Loretta Wallace Harris of Hamburg, AR; and Brianna Wallace McNeil (Douglas) of Arlington, TX; 8 grandchildren, Cassidy Wallace, Laila Wallace, Micah Wallace, Oriana Poe, Tiffany Bethea, Taffany Bethea, Kelsey Herman, and I'yanna Webb; two god children, E G Morgan, and Makayla Boyd; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Services will be Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00AM, at Soldiers Chapel A.M.E. Church 906 N. Pine St Hamburg, AR, Reverend Debra Cooper, officiating. Active Pallbearers are Ronald Hubbard, Andre Benson, Walter Jenkins, Barron Johnson, Alphonzo Bethea, and Clyde Leonard. Honorary Pallbearers are T. W. Daniels High School Class of 1956. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 6:00PM-7:30PM at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
