Mr. Thomas Edward Bethea Sr., age 86, died Friday June 9, 2023, at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation facility in Crossett, AR. He was a native of Wilmot, AR., but a resident of Crossett. He was a retired manager of Safeway Grocery and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Mr. Bethea was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was dedicated to his faith and loved teaching it to others.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Sonia Bethea Washington, his parents Cleo and Willie Mae Woods-Bethea, stepmother Lela Bell-Bethea, two brothers Bert Bethea and Larry Wimberly, and a sister Gennie Mae Conley.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 67 years Mrs. Louvella Taylor-Bethea, three sons Thomas Bethea Jr. of Monroe, LA., DeJuan Bethea wife Angie and Alfonzo Bethea wife Meta both of Crossett, son in law Marish Washington of Monroe, LA., five daughters Brenda Ashley husband Levell of Crossett, Carolyn Ledent husband Billy of Monroe, LA., Denise Hobbs husband Kelvin, and Shelia Wallace husband Allen both of Crossett, and Gloria Thompson husband Bernard of Monroe, LA., a brother Cleo Bethea Jr. wife Earnestine of Chicago, IL., sister in law Henry Mae Bethea, nineteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday June 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
