Ms. Sarah Jacob, 92 of Hamburg, AR, died Saturday August 6, 2022, at Stonegate Health and Rehabilitation. She was a native and life-long resident of Hamburg. She was a retired Factory Worker, Hospital, and Nursing Home employee. Ms. Jacob was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and she enjoyed working with the youth and adults in her church. She served on various committees in the church including Choir President she loved to sing and President of the Mother's Board. She was a great baker her specialties were Tea Cakes and her boy's favorite Lemon Pie.
Ms. Jacob was preceded in death by two sons Bruce Jacob 1967 and Willie Earl Jacob 2013, her parents Willie Shaw and Lucille Haynes, two brothers Will Davis and Abraham Shaw, four sisters Mary Lou Green, Emily "Jaybird" Johnson, Betty Scates, and Icola Watkins.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons Earnest Jacob of Little Rock, AR., Charles Jacob of Hamburg, AR., and Lonnie Walker of Monticello, AR., two sisters Willie Jean Brown of Crossett, and Janice Lambert, of Hamburg, one step-son Willie James Jacob (Carol) of Kansas City, MO., four step-daughters Willie Mae Rogers of Parchaman, CA., Regina Faye Jacob, Shelia Jacob, and Margie Lundy, all of Monticello, AR., one god-son Bobby Robinson (Betty) of Little Rock, AR., eleven grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, and fourteen great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday August 12, 2022, at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel 600 E. St Louis Hamburg, AR., from 5:30-6:30PM. Funeral Services will be Saturday August 13, 2022, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 404 Dr. MLK Jr St, Hamburg at 11AM Rev. Ephraim Johnson officiating. Pallbearers Will E. Davis Jr., Tyreke Caldwell, Patrick Jacob, Bobby Davis, Brian Jacob, and Keith Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers Dewayne Bowman, Mark Watkins, Nathaniel Wilson, Steven Bennett, Brian Robinson, Toney Watkins, Lawrence Cromwell, Cornelius Girtman, James Tucker, and Deacons of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
