Saif El Hashan Baxter, age 29, of Denver, CO, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the University of Colorado Medical Center in Aurora, CO. He was a lifelong resident of Denver, an iron worker and a member of the Iron Worker's Union #24.

He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Tonya Manuel. Saif loved writing poetry, riding motorcycles and drawing.

He is survived by his adoptive parents, James Daniel Baxter and Darlene Cobb-Baxter of Fountain Hill; one son, Tion Royal Maleek Baxter of Las Vegas, NV; three sisters, Shahada Davis of Aurora, CO, Salimu Baxter of Bastrop, LA, and Celisse Mason of Denver, CO; one brother, Robert Robinson; his maternal grandmother, Cynthia Irvin of Denver, CO and a host of other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be 11:00am on Saturday, July 22 at Norris Hill Cemetery with Bro. Jamie Rochell. Honorary Pallbearers are Lonnie Blanks, Jerry Collins, Thomas Jones, Nick Thornton, Kenny Greggs, and Frank Navarro.

Visitation will be from 5:30pm-7:00pm on Friday, July 21 at the funeral home.
