Ruth Lavern Loftis-Blackmon's Obituary
Mrs. Ruth Lavern Loftis- Blackmon, 75, of Crossett, died Sunday, February 21, 2010, at Oak Ridge Nursing Home in Eldorado. She was a native of Hamburg and a life-long resident of Crossett and a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Don Blackmon and her parents, Charlie and Pearl Smith Loftis.
She is survived by two sons; Cornell S. Brown and Todd Allen Brown wife (Ella) both of Crossett, two brothers; John Loftis of Crossett and Charlie Loftis Jr., wife (Frances)of Union Pier, MI and a special friend; Viola Miller of Crossett, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Friday, February 26, 2010 at 1:00 pm at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Jones officiating. Pallbeares are Thomas Lowe, Todd Brown III, Bobby Brown, Willie Ashford, Cornielus Williams and Eddie Waffer. Burial will be at Westview Cemetery in Crossett under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. of Hamburg. www.cromwellfuneralhome.net
