Mrs. Ruth Blakely, 89 of Crossett, AR, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. She was a native of Parkdale, AR, but a resident of Crossett for the past 60 years, a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church on Florida Street. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Blakely, one brother, and four sisters.

Survivors include two sisters, Geronia Anthony of Parkdale, AR & Pauline Vines of Crossett, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services are Friday, February 6, 2009 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Evandrew Washington, officiating. Visitation from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm Thursday, February 5 at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Tony Allen, William Simmons, Larry Martin, Charles Bryant, Eddy Hawkins, Sr. & Michael Brown. Burial in Westview Cemetery.
