s. Ruby Lee Spencer, 75, died Friday, May 8, 2020 at the Los Angeles Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. She was a native of Bastrop, LA and a resident of Los Angeles for the past 50 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lillie Mae Dillard and Jim H. Spencer, Sr.; two brothers, Willie C. Spencer and Lee Andrew Kelley; and one sister, Delore Henderson.
She is survived by her step-mother, Dorothy Spencer, of Fountain Hill, AR; one daughter, Dorothy Mae Jenkins, husband Leetell, of Fountain Hill, AR; two granddaughters, Sheneka Mallard, of Laneville, TX, and Marquitta Wheeler, of Marshall, TX; one great grandchild, Malachi Mallard; one brother, Jim H. Spencer, Jr., wife Mae, of Bastrop, LA; one sister, Ollie Lee Spencer, of Bastrop, LA; a special friend, Evelyn McGinnis, of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A private graveside service will be Tuesday, June 23, 2020, 3:00 p.m., at Johnson Memorial Cemetery in Hamburg.
