Mrs. Ruby Jewel "Mickey" Putney, 58, of Crossett, AR, died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Ashley County Medical Center. She was a native of Hamburg and a resident of Crossett for the past 42 years. She was a retired employee for Crossett School District and a member of Living Word C.O.G.I.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents, L.G. "Peter" and Carivine "Bean" Jenkins Paskel, and one brother, Cornelius Paskel. Mickey enjoyed working in her flowers, going to church and doing crafts.

She is survived by four sons: Scottie Putney of Grambling, LA, Stedrick Putney, Shelton Putney & Seymour Putney all of Crossett, AR, six brothers: L.V. "Buddy" Paskel, wife Carolyn of Crossett, AR, Jimmy Paskel & Steven Paskel, wife Angela all of Pine Bluff, AR, Troy Paskel & Charles Paskel, wife Pamela all of Hamburg, AR and Limmie Earl Paskel of Parkdale, AR, five sisters: Eunice Williams of San Diego, CA, Cora Hubbert of Chicago, IL, Gloria Allen of Alexandria, LA, Emma Wright, husband Larry of Little Rock, AR & Lowandia "Faye" Williams, husband Carnel of Pine Bluff, AR, nine grandchildren, Trayon, Trevelle, Nicola, Stedrick Jr., Scottie Jr., Jalen & Sierria Putney, Jeremy Wise, Se'marion Perkins and a host of other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 am at Living Word Church of God In Christ with Bishop Joe Mason officiating. Pallbearers are Glen Newton, Samuel Jenkins, Jr., Cedric Tucker, Harold Tucker, Calvin Barnett, Christopher Tatum, Curtis Tucker & Sylvester Tucker. Burial in Carlock Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.

Visitation Friday, February 22, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home.
