Mrs. Ruby Maxwell, 96 of Crossett, AR, died Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Golden Living Center. Mrs. Maxwell was a native of Lockesburg, AR, but a resident of Crossett, a retired school teacher, and a member of Gates Chapel AME Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Richard & Nona Graves Clardy and three sisters: Reba Hawkins, Lee Etta Reese & Vada Piggee.

She is survived by four great-nieces, Camiesa Rogers of Dallas, TX, Kellie & G'Annye Hawkins of East St. Louis, IL & Nyasha Rogers of Chicago, IL, and a host of other relatives.

Services are Friday, September 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Cromwell Funeral Home with Rev. George C. Nettles officiating. Pallbearers are C.T. Foster, Roy Curtis, Eugene Streeter, James Adams, Plez Rance & Charles Lewis. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
