Mrs. Ruby Caine, 70 of Montrose, AR, (Snyder Community), died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at her son's residence. She was a lifelong resident of Ashley County, and had worked for over 32 years as a machine operator at Hamburg Shirt Factory and had worked for five years at Superior Surgical in Hamburg. Mrs. Ruby had a passion for cooking and sewing and loved the Lord and her Family. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Hamburg, and was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Caine, three sons: Harold Jr., Willie Clarence, and James Ervin Caine, her parents, Dock Wilson and Lovettie Pruitt Slaughter, two brothers: John Allen & Buddy Slaughter and four sisters: Shirley D. Hart, Alvie Dansy, Agnes Slaughter and Martha McDonald.

She is survived by one son: Dale Caine, wife Jean of Snyder, AR, three daughters: Patricia Cherry Hunter, husband Clarence of Redfield, AR, Gail Masters, husband Kenneth of Bastrop, LA, and Glenda Thomas, husband James of Princeton, LA, one brother, Bobby Slaughter, wife Della of Hamburg, AR, three sisters: Estelle Griffin of Greenville, MS, Marion Buttenham of Hamburg, AR, Barbara Kirkland, husband William of Tuscaloosa, AL, thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 2:00 pm at First United Pentecostal Church with Bro. Charles Townsend and Bro. Stanley Keeley, officiating. Pallbearers are Harold Yandell, Joe Winters, Frankie White, Jerry Walton, Brandon Fitch & Jason Gowetski. Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren.
