Mrs. Rosie Mae Caldwell, 81 of Maumelle, AR, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at her residence. She is a native of Portland, AR, a resident of Maumelle, AR for the past six years, a homemaker, and a member of the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Palarm, AR.
She is preceded in death by her husband Henry Caldwell (March 4, 2011); one daughter: Kaye Frances Caldwell; her parents: Alex and Essie Barney-Lee; and one sister: Alice Wright. Mrs. Rosie enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, fishing, and attending church.
She is survived by three sons: Henry Caldwell Jr. of North Little Rock, AR; Cleveland Caldwell, wife Lizzie of Columbus, OH; and Kenneth Caldwell, wife Tomeka of North Little Rock, AR; three daughters: Karen Caldwell of Mesquite, TX ; Sonya Johnson of Conway, AR; and Mary Caldwell of North Little Rock, AR; four brothers: John Lee, wife Erma of Columbus, OH; Alex Lee III of Portland, AR; Lenward Lee, wife Sharon of Columbus, GA; and Charles Lee of Columbus, GA; five sisters: Annie Pearl Watkins of Portland, AR; Merdie Hadley, husband Leon of Montrose, AR; Betty Scott of Milwaukee, WI; Dorothy Lee of Chicago, IL; and Janice Gayfield of Columbus, GA; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Services are 1:00PM Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Portland #2 Baptist Church, with Reverend James Hayes, officiating. Pallbearers are Marcus Johnson, Kentrell Woods, Sammie Polite, David Collins, Charles Bynum, and Alex Richardson. Honorary Pallbearers are her Grandsons. Burial in Portland #2 Cemetery.
