Ms Rosie Lee 'Jackie' Bowens, age 69, of Crossett, AR passed away Monday, August 12, 2019 at Ashley County Medical Center.  She was a native of ElDorado, AR, and a resident of Crossett for 45 years.  She was a retired cook and a member of Shepherds Chapel of Gravett, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lela Mae Smith Hegwood, three brothers, Joe Allen Hegwood, Roy Allen Hegwood, and Dennis Ray Ellis; one sister, Zola Mae Hobbs.  Rosie was a cook for the Rose Inn and the Ramada Inn. She was a fantastic cook and loved preparing different dishes. Cooking and witnessing for Christ was her passion.

She is survived by two brothers, James Edward Smith of Austin, TX and Charles Edwards of Crossett,AR, a nephew and niece whom she helped raise, Justin Edwards of ElDorado, AR, and  ShaQuetta Cason(Cedric) Milton of Minden, LA, her domestic partner, John Nord of Crossett, AR, and two special friends, Betty Haynes and Redina Tate both of Crossett, AR.

Services will be Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Horace Ingram officiating.  Active pallbearers are Ronnie Parker, Aubrey Tate, Justin Edwards, Cedric Milton, Lavoris Lincoln and Curtis Martin.  Burial in Westview Cemetery.

Viewing will be one hour prior to service.
