Rose Marie Duckworth, age 86, passed away August 22, 2021 in Shreveport, LA.  Formerly of Crossett, AR, she was a retired elementary school teacher. She taught school at Crossett School District for 30 years. She was a native of Stamps, AR and a member of the First Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Dr. in Crossett.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert Lee (Jack) Duckworth, Oct. 2013; her parents Jacob and Hattie Manning Thompson; a brother Jacob T. Thompson; and a sister Eula V. Thomas.

Rose enjoyed attending her book club, studying her Bible, and talking with friends.

She is survived by one daughter Iris Renee Duckworth of Shreveport, LA; two sons Roderic Leon Duckworth (Cyneetha) of Tallahassee, FL and Robert Chandler Duckworth ( Asara) of Rockwell, TX; four grandchildren Joshua White (Alician), Asher, Leah, and John Robert Duckworth; one great grandchild Avery Sinclair White; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside Service 11 a.m. Saturday August 28 at Quinn Cemetery in Crossett, AR with Rev. Robert Duckworth and Rev. Curtis Jackson officiating. Honorary Pallbearers Deacons and Trustees of First Baptist Church, and Leondras Simpson.

Visitation 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, August 27 at Cromwell Funeral Home in Hamburg, AR.
