Mr. Robert Tatum, 80 of Crossett, AR, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. He was a native of Magnolia, AR, but had resided in Crossett for 72 years. Mr. Tatum was a retired supervisor for Jefferson Smurfitt after working there for 43 years. He was a member of Gates Chapel A.M.E. Church and was a US Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Nakeshia "Nikki" Coleman-Scales, his parents, Alma Tatum & Daisy Moseley Tatum Jamerson. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved football, baseball and basketball.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Helen Allen Tatum, one son, Tony H. Tatum of Crossett, AR, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of other family, loved ones and friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Gates Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Harriel D. White, III, officiating. Pallbearers are Cornell Brown, Roy Curtis, Larry Rogers, Curtis Harris, Albert Goodwin & Walter R. Hendrix. Visitation Friday, November 9 from 5-7 pm in the chapel. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
