Mr. Robert Makcon, Jr., 80, of Monticello formerly of Fordyce, AR, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at The Woods of Monticello. Mr. Makcon was a native of Edinburg, AR, but a resident of Monticello, AR, and a sawmill worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert "Bob" & Lacey Smith Makcon and two sisters, Oprah & Lucy Makcon.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Makcon Gregg of Warren, AR, and Charles Makcon & wife, Madeline Randazzo, of Rockford, IL, one daughter, Sue & husband, William "Ruff" Wimberly, of Crossett, AR, and 8 grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, September 2, 11 a.m., at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Levi Tolefree officiating. Pallbearers are Donald Ray Webb, Edgar Johnson, James P. Johnson, Donnie Webb, Raymond Canley, and Thomas Johnson. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 1, 6 - 8 p.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home.
