Mr. Richard Lee Smith, 51 of Riverdale, GA, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at Southern Regional Hospital in Riverdale. He was a native of Wilmot, AR a Riverdale resident for the past 15 years,a diesil mechanic for Volvo GMC Truck of Atlanta, and a member of Second Baptist Church in Wilmot. Richard was a devoted loving husband and father,he faithfully studied his Bible. He also loved riding horses and fishing.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lakenya Smith, his parents, Willie D. and Frances Smith and one brother, Roosevelt Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Barbara Smith, two daughters, Shaconds Smith of Jonesboro, GA, Courtney Smith of Riverdale, GA, three brothers: Theotis Smith, wife Mary, Rev. Archie Smith, wife Rose all of Wilmot, AR, Hubert Smith of Kansas City, MO, two sisters, Mamie Porter, husband Robert and Frances Moore, husband Earl of Kansas City, MO, two grandchildren, Demario Antwon Zachary and Londyn Neria Michelle Jones and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Funeral services are Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Wilmot, AR with Pastor James Crockett, officiating. Pallbearers are Charles Kitchen, Dewayne Watt, Kenny Lewis, Harry Cole, Kenneth Evans and Jimmy Thornton. Honorary pallbearers are Wilbert Brown, Earl Moore, Hubert Smith, Dewayne Orange, Moses Wilson and Leotis Penn.
