Mr. Raymond Lee "Rat" Hampton, 71 of Crossett, AR, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at Stonegate Villa Nursing Home. He was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a retired carpenter and a member of Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by two sons: David & Demontrius Hampton, his parents: Rev. Dallas and Elizabeth Carney Hampton, four brothers: Clinton, Junior, Walter & Levell Hampton (6/24/2012) and one sister: Dorothy Hampton-Wright (1/31/12). Raymond enjoyed listening to gospel music and watching old western movies.

He is survived by four sons: Robert Hampton, Raymond Hampton, Jr., wife Latissie, Sonny Earl Hampton, wife Kathy all of Crossett, AR & Cleophis Hampton of Dallas, TX, three daughters: Otha Jean Hampton of Oakland, CA, LaJoyce McBride of Washington, DC and Ruth Hampton of Crossett, AR, five brothers: Billy Hampton, wife Betty, Johnny, Charles and Roy Hampton all of Crossett, AR, Troy Hampton of Camden, AR, six sisters: Beulah Daniels, husband Curley of Crossett, AR, Mary Hendrix, Corene Hampton of Sacramento, CA, Leola Davis, husband Thomas, Lois Hampton, Eula Woods all of Vallejo, CA, twenty-five grandchildren, twenty-one great grand children and four great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews other family loved ones and friends.

Funeral services are Friday, January 25, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Pleasant Green Baptist Church with Rev. Tracey Hampton, officiating. Pallbearers are Courtney Hampton, Craig Hampton, Corey Williams, Harold Lewis, Caine Webb and Cedric Black. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Hollins, Ollie Jones, Leonard LePoole, Robert Tucker, Sr. & Matthew Bowman. Burial in Carlock Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
