Mrs. Peggy Lou Beard, 68 of Crossett, AR, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at St. Vincent Healthcare Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She was a native of Crossett, a retired teacher for the Crossett School District, and was a member of Community Chapel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Victor "Mutt" Watt & Lois Marie Johnson Watt. Peggy was a retired educator who enjoyed reading and making flower arrangements.

She is survived by one son, Richard Dewayne Beard of Crossett, AR, one brother, Rev. Kenneth Alvin Watt, wife Charlotte of Hamburg, AR, one sister, Lois Jean Lloyd, husband Andy of Crossett, AR, one granddaughter, Victory Marie Beard of Mexico, special close friend, Dewayne Beard, and a host of other family, loved ones and friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Community Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. James Fleming & Bro. Mike Chain, officiating. Active pallbearers are David Weatherly, James Farrish, Leon Hamm, Jacob Jenkins, Gabe Jenkins & Brett Henry. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Watt, Donnie Richard Watt, Eddie Mac Watt & David Richard Watt. Burial in Crossroads Cemetery.

Visitation from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, January 16, 2015 in the Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel.
