Pastor Charles Curtis Adkins, 74 of Crossett, AR, transitioned on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. He was a native of Crossett, pastor of Faith Center Church, and a veteran of the United States Army.

Pastor Adkins was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Mae Etta Adkins, two sisters Louise Canley and Bobbie Jean Adkins, brother Perry Johnson, one grandson, and his favorite dog Ginger. He enjoyed watching old westerns on television and he loved preaching the gospel.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon Tharpe Adkins; two sons Raphael and wife Daisy Adkins of Eldorado, AR, and Darrell and wife Nikki Adkins of Dayton, OH; four daughters, LaShanda White of Crossett, AR, LaTonia and husband Brian Woods of Kannapolis, NC, April and husband Anthony Danzy of Crossett, AR, and Tiffany and husband Ray Martin of McKinney, TX; two brothers, Edgar Johnson of Crossett, AR, and Carlton Johnson of Detroit, MI, father-in-law Freddie Lee Tharpe of Crossett, AR, three brothers-in-law, Melvin and wife Denita Tharpe of Jacksonville, FL, Larry and wife Margaret of Tulsa, OK, and Bernard and wife Anika Tharpe of Monroe, LA, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service is Monday, September 21, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Faith Center Church with Pastor Harvest Johnson officiating. Active Pallbearers are Aubrey Canley, Jamori Martin, Raphael Adkins, Jr., Carl Dupree, Dennis Andrews, Jr., Jonathan Canley, and Benny Tharpe. Burial at Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
