Mrs. Ora Lee Sidney-Tucker, 69 of Hamburg, AR, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. She was a native of Cotton Valley, LA, and a resident of Hamburg for the past 45 years, and a member of the Bethlehem Church of Christ Holiness. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Grambling University and her Masters from the University of Arkansas. Mrs. Tucker taught lower elementary school in the Hamburg School District for 30 years. She had a great love for children,and enjoyed doing word puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Monie Bea Gifford-Sidney.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Cal Tucker, one son, Corey Tucker of Pine Bluff, AR, one step-son, Harold Ward, wife Toney of El Dorado, AR, two step-daughters, Audra Hinton, husband Brian of Little Rock, AR, Marlene Sanchez of Little Rock, AR, one brother, John Sidney of Cotton Valley, LA, one sister, Virgie Mae Webb of Leesville, LA, four step-grandchildren, and a host of other loving family, and friends.
Funeral services are Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Eld. Robert Adams officiating. Pallbearers are Charles Moore, Chan Tucker, Dewon Hollins, Chris Tucker, James Tucker, and Sylvester Bennett. Visitation is Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Church of Christ Holiness Building Fund, P.O. Box 443, Hamburg, AR 71646. Burial in Johnson Memorial under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
