Ms. Odessa Smith, age 90, of Crossett, AR passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation in Crossett, AR. She was a native of Summerfield, LA but was resident of Crossett for 52 years, a homemaker, and a member of the Baptist Faith Church.

She is preceded in death by one son, John Henry "Rudolph" Bennett on September 20, 2012, Parents, Claude and Addie Thompson-Smith; six brothers, L. P. Smith, Alvin Smith, Zoymon Smith, Emmanuel Smith, Henry Smith, and Sam Smith, two sisters, Olivia Glover and Gertrude Fuller.  Ms. Smith loved her family and was a joy to be around.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one son: Howard Bennett of Crossett, AR; three brothers: Leon Smith (Mary) of Spearsville, LA; Nathaniel Smith of Bernice, LA; and Bobby Smith of Lillie, LA;  one sister: Melba Addison (Edward) of DeSoto, TX;  one granddaughter: Joeliece Binns, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Graveside Service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Lillie, LA with Reverend Bruce Henry officiating. Viewing at Cromwell Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 21, 2016, from 1:00 P.M - 5:00 P.M.
