Mr. Odell Stanley, 72 of Hamburg, AR died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at his residence in Hamburg, AR. He was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg. He was a retired welder and a member of Eden Baptist Church. Mr. Stanley was an avid hunter and fisherman.


He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Betty Jane Trigleth Stanley who passed away on November 30, 2010; one daughter: Betty Fran Stevens; his parents: James Early and Estelle Reynolds Stanley; three brothers: Grady, Charles, and Cdell Stanley; and one sister: Edith Cessor.

He is survived by two sons: Wayman Odell Stanley of Hamburg, AR and Allen Stanley and wife Paula of Crossett, AR; one daughter: Rita Caine and husband Stephen of Hamburg, AR; one sister: Lillie Bell Cessor of Hamburg, AR; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 11:00A.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Hicks officiating. Active pallbearers are James Cessor, James Cessor, Jr., Patrick Stanley, Logan Stevens, Stephen Caine, and Waylon Caine. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 6:00-8:00P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Interment will be at Simms Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
