Mrs. Nina June Cameron, 63 of Mt. Ida, AR, died Saturday, February 23 at St. Joseph's Mercy Health Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. Mrs. Cameron was a native of Ashley County, AR, but a resident of Mt. Ida, AR for the past 15 years, a retired C.N.A., and a member of Briggsville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Derrick T. Rodriguez & Christopher Tew, her parents, Claude & Lennie Pearl Griffin Naron, one brother, Richard Naron and one sister, Joyce Ricks.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Mr. Grady Cameron, two sons, Jimmy Tew, Jr., of Tunica, MS, James, wife Jodean Tew of Crossett, AR, one step-son, Buddy, wife Teresa Cameron of Jackson, TN, three daughters: Jill, husband Ricky Gossett of Camden, AR, Jean, husband Dale Cain of Snyder, AR, & Sandra Ellingsburg, fiancee' Heath Cunningham of Crossett, AR, two step-daughters, Vicki, husband, Mike Shirley & Faye, husband Roger McCracken all of Crossett, AR, two brothers, Boyd, wife Linda Naron of Monticello, AR & Leroy, wife Karen Naron of Montgomery, AL, one sister, Dorothy, husband George Pledger of Caddogap, AR, twenty-six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Cromwell Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Hines & Bro. Jackie Naron, officiating. Pallbearers were Scott Smith, Dale Caine, Heath Cunningham, Charlie Smith, Roger McCracken & Danny Lephiew. Honorary pallbearers were Brandon Collier, James Pogue & Anthony Boss. Burial was in Old Troy Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
