Mrs. Nancy Herring, 71 of Lake Village, AR, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Lake Village, a homemaker, and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Herring, her parents: Charlie & Jeanet Martin White, three brothers: Charlie Wilson, Jr., Joe Willie Johnson, Willie Lee Johnson, two sisters, Gladys Sweney & Beulah Jones. Nancy was a devoted mother who enjoyed singing in her church choir, talking on the phone and watching sports.

She is survived by three sons: Carl McCree, wife Gloria of Little Rock, AR, Dwight McCree of Lake Village, AR, John Edward McCree, wife Cynthia of Las Vegas, NV, one daughter, Sheila Childs, husband Sylvester of Las Vegas, NV, three sisters: Ethel Mae Jackson & Lorrine Wade both of Lake Village, AR, Thelma Beans, husband Alonzo of Forrest City, AR, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, loved ones and friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 3:30 pm at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Ceaser King, officiating. Active pallbearers are Charlie Bynum, Willie Cooper, Ed McCree, Christopher Jackson, Carl Foster & Dominique Owens. Honorary pallbearers are Sherod Baldwin, Bernard Baldwin, Sylvester Childs, Jerry Martin & Leroy Stoneville. Burial in New Hope Cemetery.

Visitation Friday, April 24, 2015 from 6-7:30 pm at New Hope Baptist Church on Commerce & Mary Streets.
