Milton Vernell Booker,73 of East Point, GA, formerly of Hamburg died Monday, February 28, 2022 at his home in Georgia.  He was a native of Crittenden County, AR,  but grew up in Hamburg, AR and was a graduate of Pine Street School in Hamburg, AR.  He was a retiree of Bonding Services Trucking Company, a United States Army Veteran, a Prince Hall Accepted Mason and a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.

Milton was preceded in death by a son, Milton V. Booker Jr., his mother, Reitha Jean Booker, a sister, Linda Kaye Johnson, and a brother, Roy Lewis Booker.

He is survived by two sons, Chris Booker'Jarisha' of Locust Grove, GA, and Laquon Holloman of Lithonia, GA, three daughters, Charette McCullum 'Vothco' and Willie Strickland 'David' both of Atlanta, GA, and Christy Booker Fordham of Union City, GA,  his father Willie Booker, Jr. of Hamburg, AR, two brothers, Lawrence Booker 'Helen' of Hamburg, AR, and Calvin Booker 'Janetta' of Atlanta, GA, one sister, Kimberly Frierson 'Calvin' of Hamburg, AR ; nine grandchildren, Jamari Holloman, Miracle McCullum, Asyah Amador, Chris Booker, Jr., Miriah Booker, Brian Booker, Thornton Fordham III, Christopher Fordham, and  Aaliyah Fordham; two great-grandchildren, Chris Booker III and Azaia Lawson and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside Services are Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Roy Lewis Booker Memorial Cemetery south of Hamburg, AR on Highway 425. Rev. Dr. Richard Booker will officiate. Pallbearers are Anthony Louis Booker, Lawrence Edward Booker, Collin Frierson, Jerome Booker, Calvin Booker, Jr. and Dr. Derrick Booker.  Visitation is Thursday, March 10, 2022  5:30 - 7:00 P.M. Burial with military honors in Roy Lewis Booker Memorial Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
