Mrs. Mildred Mae Johnson, age 92, of Montrose, AR, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. She was a native of Memphis, TN, a retired Midwife, and Machine Operator of the Hamburg Shirt Factory and a member of the Jehovah's Witness.
Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Johnson, one infant daughter, her parents, James and Hattie Austin-Mosby, four brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Johnson loved field service work for Jehovah's Witness and working in her flower garden.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sons: Mike Charles Triplett, wife Ardie of Woodson, AR; Albert Johnson, wife Verlene of Little Rock, AR; three daughters: Josephine Avery , husband Easter, Mildred Hill all of Little Rock, AR; Carrie Stroud of Portland, AR; one brother: Milton Mosby of Des Moines, IA; three sisters: Hattie Johnson of Greenville, MS; Rose Lee Williams of Tueldo, OH; Melvina Stewart of Portland, AR, thirty grandchildren, seventy great-grandchildren, forty-eight great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Services are 2:00PM Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Kingdom Hall with Brother Derrick Frazier, officiating. Active Pallbearers are Arthur Hill, Jr., John Wilson, Toney Avery, Lee Charles Johnson, John Johnson and Robert Hill. Honorary Pallbearers are Anthony Triplett, John Avery, Albert Johnson, Sr., James Wilson, Jr. and Morris Hill. Burial in Montrose Cemetery.
