Mr. Michael Ray Hampton, 59 of Portland, AR, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was a Portland native who was of the Methodist faith. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Hampton and five brothers: John, Randy, Wilbert, Gilbert & Bruce Hampton. Michael loved watching football, basketball, Criminal Minds and Law & Order on television.

He is survived by his mother, Laura Hampton of Portland, AR, four brothers: Dennis Hampton of Portland, AR, James Hampton of Montrose, AR, Edward Charles Hampton of Milwaukee, WI, Danny Steve Hampton of Conway, AR, two sisters, Tempie Hampton of Little Rock, AR & Betty Hampton of Portland, AR, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 am at Green Grove A.M.E. Church with Rev. James Andrews, officiating. Pallbearers are Phillip Williams, David Morris, Joe Nathan Webb, Kentrell Woods, Tim Dunbar & Sammy Polite. Burial in Holly Grove Cemetery.
