Obituary

Mrs. Mary Helen Walters, 63, of Hamburg, AR died Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at her residence in Hamburg.  She is a native of Portland, Oregon, but grew up in Ashley County, and an employee of Delta Family Center for nine years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Johnnie Louise Gregory-Pamplin; one grandson, Trey Richardson; six brothers, Johnnie Frank, Roger, Robert, William, James and Houston Wayne Pamplin, and one sister, Betty Sue Ward.  Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  Her grandchildren were the joys of her life.  She enjoyed taking them to their ballgames and spending time with them.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Sammie Walters; two sons, David H. Richardson and Michael D. Richardson, both of Hamburg, AR; one sister, Earline Tabor, husband Jimmy, of Labadieville, LA; six grandchildren, Brittany Davis, Megan Richardson, Makyla Herst, Zachary Richardson, Tyler Richardson, and Haleigh Richardson; three great grandchildren Jimmy Lee Davis, Faith Davis, and Zavier Richardson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Graveside service is Sunday, September 6, 2020, 2:00 p.m., at Carlock Cemetery with Bro. Carlton White officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are James Pamplin, Jr., Robert Johnson, J.J. Martin, Cody Walters, Michael Harris, and Billy Joe Jones.

Walk-through viewing will be Saturday, September 5, 2020, 5-6:00 p.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
