Mary Ann
Stanley
April 27, 1943 – July 26, 2025
It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Stanley 'Big' who left this world on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the age of 82. To say she will be missed is an understatement; she was the matriarch in the truest sense , a mother not only to her own children, but to everyone who had the good fortune to know her. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and love, and her heart had an endless capacity for kindness.
A woman of profound faith, Mary Ann walked through life with a quiet strength. This faith was reflected in her compassion for all living things, especially her beloved animals who were a constant source of joy and companionship throughout her life. She saw the world through an artist's eye. An accomplished interior decorator by trade, she had an innate talent for creating beauty and harmony in every space she touched. Her artistic spirit was matched by her talents as a homemaker. She filled her home with the scent of delicious food, the comfort of a well-loved space, and the sound of laughter. In her quieter moments she could be found curled in her bed watching Bones, CSI, or Little House on the Prairie, a testament to her sharp and ever curious mind.
Above all else, she cherished the time spent with her family. Her love was the thread that wove our family together, and her memory will be the light that continues to guide us. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and unwavering kindness that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Mark Stanley and wife Mandy of Hamburg, AR, daughter Stacey Poole of Crossett, AR, brother Jimmy Don Stafford of Crossett, AR, grandsons, Brandon Knight, Michael Irons and wife Michaila, Justin McDougald, and Cole Stanley, granddaughter, Madison Adams and husband Luke, and a host of nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
She is now reunited in heaven with her husband of fifty-four years, Jerry Lee Stanley, her daughters, Sonya Meeks and Melissa 'Micki' Stanley, brother, Billy Wayne Stafford, sister Nina Hauenstein, and parents, Lester and Mary Clauzell Shelton Stafford.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Donald Stafford officiating.
Obituary lovingly submitted by granddaughter, Madison Adams.
