Mrs. Mary Dell Jones, 60, of Crossett, AR died Monday, January 13, 2020, at the Ashley County Medical Center.  She was a lifelong resident of Ashley County, a teacher's assistant at Crossett Head Start, formerly the center director for over 20 years, and a member of Westside Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Vera Tolefree-Washington; her stepfather Joseph Washington; and her grandmother who raised her, Janie Kazee.  Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  She was an inspiration to all who knew her.  She was dedicated to her church and would work faithfully wherever needed.  She enjoyed going on cruises and cooking for her family.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Richard Charles Jones; one son, Antwain Jones (Stephanie), of Mesa, AZ; one daughter, Constance Jones of Crossett, AR; her father and stepmother,  Alfred Clark, Jr. and Shirley Clark of Stockton, CA; one brother, Christopher Washington (Renee) of Crossett, AR; nine sisters, Clara Primes (Arthur) of Rockford, IL, Rosie Jones (Marvin) and Linda Wright (John), both of Crossett, AR, Janie Simmons (Andrew), of Saginaw, TX, Alfretta Clark, of Oakland, CA, Lahallion Clark, of Modesto, CA, Donna Curry, and Pamela Clark, both of Stockton, CA, and Chandra Winters, of Sandlero, CA; five grandchildren, McKenzi Ridgell, of Crossett, AR, Journey  Ethen, Amarrion, and Amurie Jones, all of Phoenix, AZ; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 22, 2020, 11 a.m., at Church of Christ, 301 Pine Street Crossett, AR, with Bro. Kenneth Ridgell officiating.  Active Pallbearers are Roderick Kidd, Brandon Jones, Chancie Williams III, Brannon Kidd, Michael Brown, Jessie Clark, Claudell Clark, and Tony Grayson.  Honorary Pallbearers are Antwain Jones, Christopher Washington, Arthur Primes, Dr. Alan Wilson, Marvin Jones, Archie Jones, and Raymond Clark.  Burial in Westview Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 21, 2020, 5:30-7:00 p.m., at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. in Hamburg.
