Marvin Dewayne 'Chick' Walter, 59, of Hamburg, AR died Sunday, June 5, 2022 in Hermitage, AR. He was a lifelong resident of Hamburg, and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was a manager of Cash Saver Grocery in Crossett, AR for the past thirteen years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, mother, Lavern Guy (2003), and father Elige Walter (2002), stepfather Johnny Guy, Sr. (1982). Marvin, better known as 'Chick' was a devoted father and brother who loved his family and enjoyed being around them whenever he had a chance.  He loved to fish, play dominoes, checkers, and shoot pool.  He was a people person and enjoyed telling jokes.  He also took pride in his work, and strived to make sure his customers were satisfied.

He is survived by his daughter, Megan Levy of Little Rock, AR, two sisters, Pamela Hasson and husband Floyd of Chatham, LA, and Deloris Guy of Little Rock, AR, five brothers, Ralph and wife Katrina Walter of Pine Bluff, AR, Brian Guy of Hamburg, AR, Johnny and wife Trudy Guy, Jr. , and Keith Pippen both of Crossett, AR, and Raylon Walter of Fordyce, AR, and his companion, Quinzola Wiley of Hermitage, AR.

Funeral service is Friday, June 10, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Ephraim Johnson officiating. Pallbearers are Robert Hatchett, Dewayne Mooney, Kamunz Sumler, Jesse Kimble, Johnny King, and Charles Franklin. Honorary pallbearers are employees of Cash Saver of Crossett, AR, and Hamburg High School Class of 1981. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home Inc. of Hamburg, AR.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 9, 2022 5:30-7:00 P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home.
