Marlon D'Angelo Moore, age 43 of Crossett, AR, died Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Ashley County Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, and was employed as a Master Tech at Georgia-Pacific Paper Mill.
He was preceded in death by his father Marvin Angelo Moore, paternal grandparents, Ellis and Mildred Moore, and maternal grandparents, Leon and Deloris Whaley.
Marlon attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and was proud to have been a member of the Arkansas Razorbacks football team. He loved coaching little league sports, rodeo, and his horse "Cash". He was a member of "Pony Express". He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed football, baseball, basketball, and playing dominoes.
He is survived by his wife of four years, Shonta Griffin Moore, two daughters, Mackenzie Moore of Conway, AR, and McKinsley Moore of Crossett, AR: five sons, Marlon D'Angelo Moore, Jr., McKinley D'Ellis Moore, Tayshawn L. Paskel, Taylin L. Paskel, and Tyler L. Paskel all of Crossett, AR: one sister, Conshata and husband Keary Walls of Houston, TX, his mother Bettye Whaley Moore of Crossett, AR, aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday December 8, 2023, at Cromwell Funeral Home 5:30-7:00 P.M. Funeral service is Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11:00 A. M. at Crossett Municipal Auditorium in Crossett, AR, with Minister Falana Simpson-Hubbard officiating. Active Pallbearers are Dwight Hughes, Reginald Johnson, Delvin Ashford, Jamaal Campbell, Napoleon Brown, and Chad Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers are JaCarlo Whaley, Rodney Whaley, Marquis Martin, Shun Brown, Deroderick Hobbs, Rodriguez Duke, and the Po Boy Riding Club. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home Inc of Hamburg, AR.
Repast will be at GP Economic Building in Crossett.
