Ms. Marilyn Kaye Stewart, 74, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin died Sunday, October 25, 2020, at Aurora West Allis Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Crossett, AR, a retired public-school teacher and a member of Union Hill Baptist Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Harriet Boswell-Stewart; one brother, Harry Stewart, Jr.; three sisters, Dorothy Stewart-Davidson, Verna Ray and Addie Stewart. She worked at Wells Street Middle School and South Division High School in Milwaukee, WI. She retired in 2003. She was a member of the Milwaukee Alliance of Black School Educators (MAPSE), National Teachers Education Association, National Education Association , Secretary of Wells Street Alumni Association, and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Marilyn enjoyed cooking, sewing, and visiting with family and friends. She always had a smile on her face and kind words for all. She loved her family, extended family, and friends.
She is survived by one sister, Lois Jean (Larry) Rogers, of Crossett, AR; one nephew, Ronald (Stephanie) Rogers, of Little Rock, AR; three nieces, Demonica Rogers (finance' Demarcus Wiggins) of Nashville, TN, Camiesa Rogers, of Chicago, IL, and Yolanda (Normane) Martin, of Crossett, AR; two great nieces, Tequila and Keria Rogers; one great nephew, Jayden Rogers; and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside service will be Saturday, October 31, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at Westview Cemetery, under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Jesse Radford, Jr. officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Freddie Hargraves, Madison Bailey, Edgar Johnson, Jr., Curtis Harris, Larry Taylor, and Doyle Tucker.
