Mrs. Marilyn Jane "Janie" Trantham, 57 of Boydell, AR, died Friday, March 22, 2013 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. She was a lifelong resident of Ashley County, a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Trantham, her parents, Omar Hallman and Agnes Cotton Sheffield and two brothers, Edward & Lewis Hallman. Janie loved talking to friends on the computer and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three brothers: James Hallman of Monticello, AR, David Hallman of Greenville, MS, John Sheffield of Conway, AR, two step-brothers, Danny & Deveron Sheffield of Hot Springs, AR, two sisters, Peggy Hallman of Monticello, AR, Sarah Sheffield of Dermott, AR, a special niece, Rebecca Hallman of Boydell, AR, and a host of other loving family and friends.

Funeral services are Monday, March 25, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Bryant, officiating. Pallbearers are Charlie Murphy, Colby Dodson, Nicholas Dodson, Gene Trantham, Richard Lemley, Keith Rossom, Parker Rossom & Brandon Rodriguez. Burial in Snyder Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR. Memorials may be made to The Arkansas Affiliate of Susan G.
