Obituary

Marilyn Crain-Block, 72 of Jacksonville, AR, formerly of Crossett transitioned at her daughter's home on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in Jacksonville.  She was a native of Rison, AR, a member and former co-pastor of Life Blood Ministry Church of Life in Bastrop, LA, and a retired Jr. High School teacher.

Mrs. Block was preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Eddie Lee Block (2018), a son Marcus Brian Block, parents, Willie and Genoria Johnson Crain, brothers, James, WC, Calvin, and Wheeler Crain, and sisters, Felix Ann Lea, Birdietta Crain, Doris Taylor, and Mary Crain.

She is survived by one son, Edward Block (Bianca) of Conway, AR, one daughter, Genoria Elizabeth Crain Block of Jacksonville, AR, three brothers, Samuel Crain of Rison, AR, Hoover Crain (Linda) of Little Rock, AR, and Marvin Crain (Barbara) of Maumelle, AR, two grandchildren, Mya Kay Block and Nyla Elise Block both of Conway, AR, and other family and friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Cromwell funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Samuel Crain officiating.  Pallbearers are Jason Richmond, Samuel Crain, Jr., Jamaal Crain, Latario Bolden, Kwaibena Foreman, and Cleophus Bowie.  Honorary pallbearers are Gariel Tucker and Lawrence Tucker.  Burial in Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, Arkansas.
